Amlou Laoz 190 g is a Moroccan spread made from roasted almonds, orange-blossom honey and cold-pressed argan oil. Three ingredients, nothing else. Made in the Souss, sold online and shipped mainly to France, to the rest of Europe, and to Morocco.
Can I order Amlou Laoz in France and Morocco?
Yes. Taghazit sells this jar online and ships it to France (our main market), other European countries, and Morocco. Checkout shows the shipping rates by weight — not a flat fee.
What is Amlou Laoz?
Laoz means almond. This is the classic Souss amlou: almonds, honey, argan. Smoother and pricier than the peanut version (CawCaw). Orange-blossom honey adds a floral note you do not get from generic honey.
Ingredients
- Roasted almonds
- Orange-blossom honey
- Cold-pressed argan oil
Allergen: tree nuts (almonds). No palm oil, no preservative, no added flavouring.
How to eat it
On bread, msemen or baghrir; with yoghurt; or by the spoon. In baking, it stands in for an almond paste already sweetened with honey.
Laoz or CawCaw?
Laoz = almonds. CawCaw = peanuts. Same honey + argan base: Laoz is milder, CawCaw more roasted and cheaper. Peanut 190 g: Amlou CawCaw 190 g.
190 g or 500 g?
The 190 g jar is for a first taste or a small household. The Amlou Laoz 500 g costs less per kilo.
Storage
Keep dry and away from light. Close the jar after use. Argan oil may rise to the top: stir before serving.
